Artistry in the Everyday: Our Organic Waffle Homeware Story

From Paintbrush to Fabric…

There's something about the daily rituals of home that feel like they ‘ground’ me - making tea, or matcha if I'm feeling fancy, first thing in the morning. Unstacking the dishwasher and putting everything back in the cupboards clean and sparkling (very unglamorous, but I can’t lie there's something satisfying about it). Wiping down the counter after a meal shared with the people I love. Setting out fresh linens before friends arrive. Just simple, small, repeated moments.

Often the objects we reach for in these moments get treated as an afterthought - mass-produced, hidden in a drawer, replaced without a second thought.

I wanted to make things useful enough to earn their place in daily life, and beautiful enough; a combination to inspire a little joy every time you use them.

Every piece starts the same way: in my studio, with my hands, with a paint set, water, and my trusty fine brushes. I hand-paint each original watercolour from scratch. Chapter 1: Summertime came straight from my own garden, plus the plants and produce I actually see every day. The next collection moves a bit further afield, into English vineyards, countryside, and hedgerow. These aren't computer-generated patterns or licensed stock prints, and they never will be.

Each design carries the actual brushmarks and pigments of an original painting, transferred onto fabric like a limited-edition print.

Beauty meets real-life functionality

A tea towel can be completely gorgeous, but if it doesn't dry your hands or mop up a spill (theres nothing more annoying, am I right…?), it isn't doing its job. This collection is built to do both:

  • Thick, absorbent waffle weave - 100% organic cotton, textured to trap moisture and dry quickly between uses

  • OEKO-TEX certified - tested and proven free from harmful substances

  • GOTS certified - covering organic fibre content and responsible processing

  • Made in the same facility that produces babywear - exceptional standards on quality, chemicals, finishing and soft handfeel as a baseline, not an extra

  • Built for daily life - practical, machine-washable, made to last, not just to look good on a shelf

A hand-painted, organic cotton tea towel, wrapped in fully recycled and recyclable packaging, also makes a genuinely thoughtful gift - a housewarming, a birthday gift for a tomato or strawberry fan, or just a small upgrade to your own home kitchen.
