Paisley is a shape I love painting - centuries old, but I wanted to make it feel modern and relaxed. I worked freehand, flicking the brush about, sometimes with intention and sometimes just letting the paint go where it wanted on wet paper. The result is soft, feathery curves rather than anything too precise.
Designed and hand-painted in the UK, then digitally printed onto 100% organic cotton waffle weave at a certified facility in China. Every tea towel is washed, dried, folded, and packed by me here at home, then walked to the post office myself.
The waffle weave is highly absorbent - equally at home drying wet glassware or heavy cast-iron - and it only softens with wash after wash.
